DNV & CSC

Simmonds Equipment has a range of offshore equipment that lends itself to “in gauge” dimensions for liner freight.

We have combined not only the offshore structural lifting standards of DNV 2.7-1 / 1SO 10855 with ISO block configurations for stacking control rooms and workshops offshore but also incorporated the stacking capability from CSC plating which allows our units to be shipped 9 high on a container vessel.

DNV CSC CONTAINER

This provides many cost benefits for our customers across the range of our products from cargo containers, baskets, equipment, frames, hazardous area equipment packages, engineering cabins, workshops, E houses, refrigerated containers, accommodation modules and tanks.

The cost benefit for you or your customer is the large reduction in freight costs by allowing offshore oilfield compliant equipment to be shipped as standard ocean liner container freight rather than the inflated costs of flat racks or by break bulk. The initial delivery cost is less globally from our manufacturing facilities to you but the real advantage is in the long term mobilisation costs of project equipment being transferred between regions.

This can provide you a considerable competitive advantage in the market either if your company is responsible for the mobilization costs or sold as added value to your customers if they are responsible contractually for moving your equipment to their project.
