HISTORY

Simmonds Equipment was the first US company in 2007 with a full sales and rental fleet of offshore containers and baskets entirely certified to DNV 2.7-1 and EN12079. Supported from our head office in Louisiana, the company has grown into a global concern with companies in USA, UK, Colombia and Venezuela.. As we have diversified our regional coverage, our product range has increased to match with a variety of “fit for purpose” oil field and mining equipment products and services to fullfil our customers’ compliance responsibilities.

The owner of the company is Brian Simmonds. After studying Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Caledonian University in Glasgow, he had a 16 year career in the offshore industry with Subsea 7 and Halliburton prior to starting Simmonds Equipment. 8 years offshore in various technical positions and then 8 years onshore in a management position with responsibilities in Equipment, Procurement and Facilities has put him well placed to understand firsthand the requirements of our customer base.
